The Pew Research Center’s “Number of the Day” today lists The number of people who support banning books with “dangerous ideas”: 46%. Link
What is shocking to me is that this is the lowes level of support for book banning in the last 20 years.

46% still seems a little high to me.

    This statistic is for public school libraries- so I can understand it. I wonder what it would be for public libraries?

    I do selection for my son’s public school library. I cower in fear of the day when the Pentecostal and Jehovah’s Witness parents take a close look at my stacks. These are the people who insist their kids don’t get any exposure to things like Halloween and classroom birthday parties.
