Geez, didn’t I comment earlier that I want to read this book? I have to read this book! This may be the biggest problem we have. I call it “making rules instead of managing”. It frequently segues into, “but if we do it for one person, we will have to do it for everyone.” We should be so lucky that suddenly everyone is storming the barricades demanding library service.
Of course, I could riff about the cultural assumptions driving this, but will refrain, for now. It might devolve into a major rant.
