I can’t even fathom where the time has gone lately.

One more wek until Computers In Libraries! I’m so excited, as I’ve never been to CIL before, and I’m jealous every year of my colleagues who get to go. So watch out… here I come! I’ll be the devastatingly stylish whirlwind trying to track down a Screech doll for my son.

I have to find the person with the camera so that I, too can be famous…

Tomorrow I’ll be up bright and early (OK, maybe not so bright.) to catch a flight to San Jose. There, I’ll attend the Innovative Users Group Conference to see what is new and exciting with our automation vendor. Looks like it will be an interesting conference this year!

It makes for a little bit of a bittersweet Mother’s Day for me, though. This will be the first time I’ll be away from Robert, and the first time Chris will be alone with him for a whole week! So here are some pictures I can look at while I’m away Library-ing.

The second one is to remind me of what Chris and Robert looked like PRE spending a whole week on their own. That is to say pre-pizza for every meal.

Good luck, honey! I hope you like tantrums!

ETA: Chris was mad that I mentioned him but didn’t link to his very excellent blog. FINE.

I spent today (along with many, many other library professionals) at the Long Island Library Conference. This is a great conference because it gives you a great chance to see so many of the folks from the area libraries… and just when I think I know everyone, I get to meet someone new. Or finally put a face to the voice I’ve been talking to on the phone or months. So it’s really a nice to attend.

I have a lot of blogging material from today… coming conversations I had in the hall,  the “electronic communication” session, and the excellent session given by Sophie Brookover and Liz Burns from Pop Goes the Library. So there’s tons I want to mull over and discuss here. Later on.
Of course, now I’m exhausted. So I’m going to bed, and I’ll post later on about some of the issues that came up at the conference and what my take on all of it. Some thought provoking stuff, so stay tuned.
